Authenticity and expertise of luxury pieces

At Les Folies d’Eugénie, the authenticity of an item and the accuracy of its description are at the heart of our selection. Before buying, you should be able to understand the checks carried out, the condition of the item and the accessories that come with it.

How are our items checked?

Our authentication process combines several elements, which are examined together by our team:

  1. Visual inspection: examination of the materials, stitching, finishes, logos and manufacturing details.
  2. Analysis of the available documents: verification of their consistency with the item when an invoice, card or other document accompanies the consignment.
  3. Authentication tools: the Maison uses Entrupy, in particular, as part of its checking process. You can contact us about the checks and documents specific to the item you are interested in.

A box, dust bag or serial number alone does not constitute sufficient proof. What matters is the consistency of all the elements examined.

Consignment traceability

Our consignments are linked to the consignor’s identification and the Maison’s tracking of the item. Our seven physical boutiques allow you to speak directly with our teams before consigning or purchasing an item.

The condition and accessories of each item

Two bags of the same model may differ in condition, dimensions, material, colour or accessories. Consult the details and photographs of the item you have chosen. The included accessories are those listed under “Sold with”; a box, dust bag, card or certificate is not automatically provided with every item.

If a detail is important to you, contact our team with the product-page link before ordering. We can clarify the information available and the boutique where the item is located.

Frequently asked questions before a purchase

Is a bag sold without its box necessarily inauthentic?

No. The absence of an accessory and authenticity are two separate issues. The assessment concerns the item and the available elements; the list of included accessories must be checked separately.

Is an item described as “in very good condition” new?

This wording does not mean “new” or “never worn”. Signs of use and the specific features of the item can be seen in its description and photos. Ask for clarification if a point is not documented sufficiently.

Where can I find the delivery and returns terms?

Find the information on the Delivery and returns page and in the policies applicable to your order. For a question about an item, use our contact form.
