The bag Timeless as we know it today was introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in the 1980s, when he became Chanel’s artistic director. He reinterpreted the 2.55’s codes while adding distinctive touches, notably the famous interlocking “CC” clasp, emblematic of the brand.
